Kinesitherapy

Kinesitherapy is a type of massage therapy which uses your body’s movements in combination to massage. The therapist will use specific maneuvers throughout the treatment. We use a combination of massage, specific movements, and stretches throughout the treatments to help relieve muscle tension. It is a movement therapy aimed at alleviating muscle or joint pain and restoring normal movement to the affected part of the body.

Therapeutic massage

This technique aims to cure numerous pathologies, alleviate chronic and/or temporary pain, and reduce stress. It is effective against muscle inflammation and also has the ability to rebalance the digestive and lymphatic systems. It is important to understand that to properly treat the affected areas, this type of treatment can be painful. The therapist may recommend more than one treatment to relieve accumulated tension. The benefits can be felt in the following days.

Manual lymphatic drainage

This is a gentle and light massage technique, similar to the effect of a wave, which involves pumping the lymph nodes and draining. The goal is to stimulate the flow of lymph and detoxify the body while strengthening the immune system. Manual lymphatic drainage is performed with the fingers and palms of the hands over the entire body, following the direction of lymphatic circulation. The massage aimed at complete lymphatic drainage lasts 90 minutes. Several sessions may be necessary before noticeable results are achieved.

Cupping

Cupping massage is performed using dry containers in which a vacuum is created to induce physiological and mechanical changes within a structure. This treatment modality is effective in reducing pain, increasing local circulation, enhancing tissue oxygenation, and stretching or mobilizing tissues. The marks left on the body after cupping treatments are normal and may possibly be the result of broken blood capillaries that will regenerate within a few days to a few weeks.

Lomi lomi

This is a massage inspired by Hawaiian tradition which is performed using the hands, fists, and especially the forearms. This technique is recommended for muscle atony and atrophy, sprains, and is excellent against fatigue and stress, cellulite, chronic constipation, poor blood and lymphatic circulation, nervous tension, neuralgia, joint and muscle stiffness. Moreover, the lomi lomi massage helps to eliminate toxins while promoting relaxation and vital energy.

Foot reflexology

Foot reflexology is a method used to activate the body's self-healing process by manually stimulating a specific area of the foot connected to an organ or body part through pressure. The concept of foot reflexology is that the foot is an exact representation of the human body. This method can relieve the foot and thereby the organ or body part targeted by the therapist. Foot reflexology is recommended for people suffering from pain or chronic illnesses (diabetes, multiple sclerosis, osteoarthritis, and severe arthritis) and can help reduce anxiety, stress, symptoms related to ADD and ADHD, as well as alleviate certain spinal pains (lower back, cervical, etc.).
